In rehearsals for Gulls, a World Premiere at The Theatre at Boston Court.  Nice to be focused on rehearsals for single project again, as the spring was a bit manic with developmental readings and workshops, 7 altogether, including making progress on my two original shows: Tarmac, which had its first developmental reading in May, and It's About Time, for which we recorded a 6-song studio demo.

Sang in a beautiful new review of Antonio Carlos Jobim music (Girl From Ipanema) at the Jazz Bakery in Culver City.  LA Times reviewer Don Heckan noted "Collyer's lighter, briskly rhythmic style was at its best in duets with the other two singers - especially a vigorously contrapuntal take on "One Note Samba" and a sensitive rendering of "Once I Loved." "Once I Loved" was a solo, but who's counting.

Spent a very fun day as a studio singer for an upcoming Wayan's bros. musical comedy.

Borderless had its premiere in May and will no doubt be making its presence known on the festival circuit very soon.

Bounty Killer had its premiere last week. I play one of the voices in this animated short and in addition wrote two songs for the soundtrack.

Keep an eye out for a music branch of this website.  As I've been doing more and more composing and songwriting, I'm feeling its time to start sharing this part of my life.  More to come.  In the meantime, you can get a taste of a few original songs on Myspace.
